深圳的春天充满了一片生机，华美迎来了创建后的第二个学期。2月20日上午，华美外国语（国际）学校举行了2019年春季开学典礼。

Spring in shenzhen is full of vitality. C&A foreign language school ushered in the second semester after its establishment. On the morning of February 20th, C&A Foreign Language (International) School
held the spring opening ceremony of 2019.

今天的华美校园，鸟语花香，春意盎然；今天的华美家人，朝气蓬勃，青春飞扬；伴着去年收获的那份喜悦，朝着春天的美好方向，我们豪情满怀地迎来了充满希望的2019。

Today's C&A campus, filled with the symbols of spring like the chirpings of birds and fragrance of flowers; Today's C&A family, full of vigor and vitality; With the joy of last year's harvest, towards the beautiful direction of spring, we are ushering in a hopeful 2019 with full ambition.

华美学子们着装整齐，将写满每个人新年理想的心愿卡，悬挂在有着“大展宏图”寓意的桃花树上。

Students of C&A Foreign Language (International) School  are dressed beautifully.They hung their own wishing cards for the new year into the peach blossom trees which implys the realization of ambition.

家长们也在签名墙上留下了对孩子的美好祝福，以及对学校的真诚祝愿。

Parents also wrote down their best wishes for their children and school on the signing wall.

在华美音乐教师咸冰心曼妙的歌声中，2019年华美外国语（国际）学校春季开学典礼正式拉开帷幕。

Looking back on 2018, Teachers and Students in China and America have achieved fruitful results with solid steps. The reason why it can develop and start to flourish is that there is a good principal who is diligent, knowledgeable, innovative and devoted to education.

钱校长在开学典礼的致辞中表示，为了更好完成学校五年发展规划，新学期，我们将全面加速推行教育国际化的进程，在课程设置、课堂教学、徳育活动等重要领域充分渗透PYP、 MYP的因子，使得国际教育中的优质元素落地生根，在华美学校开花结果。

为了展现国际学校的基本规范与特有风采，充分淬炼每一个学生的双语沟通能力，我们要用学生输出的数量质量，反推教育教学输入的数量质量，进一步落实教学措施，提倡课堂高效教学。我们一定坚持走小步，不停步，日积月累，就能积淀华美学校文化的核心因子，成为深圳市具有标志性示范的品牌学校。

In his speech at the opening ceremony, Mr. Qian said that, in the new semester, in order to complete the school's five-year development plan better, we will accelerate the process of internationalization of education in an all-round way, fully penetrate the factors of PYP and MYP in such important fields as curriculum setting, classroom teaching and education activities, so that the high-quality elements in international education will fall to the ground and blossom in C&A schools.

In order to show the basic norms and unique style of international school and achieve the bilingual expression and communication ability of every student, we should provide sufficient language input so that the students can meet the requirement that we set for them. We further implement teaching measures and promote efficient classroom teaching. We must persist in making small progress continuously. With long-term accumulation, we can form our core of school culture, and become a brand school with landmark demonstration in Shenzhen.

众所周知，华美是一所拥有着强大中外师资队伍的国际学校，中西合璧，共绽光芒。小初部外方校长Jason表示，新的学期，华美扩大了教学队伍，更新了教学方法，扩展了心理、身体发展等方面的课程，增加了补充核心课程的选修课，在精神上、情感上、身体上都做好了充分的准备。我们将在华美这个美丽又神奇的校园，为学生带来更多的机会，提供更多的福利，以积极开放的心态全速前进，全心全意的迎接全新的学期。

在Jason校长的介绍之下，华美外教团队闪亮出场，与大家一一见面。

This semester we extended programs that encompass mental, social and physical developmental competencies. Our team developed new courses. We have extended our teaching team. We have prepared mentally, emotionally and physically. With this renewed spirit we bring a greater sense of confidence to an already strong body.

We will add electives that complement core courses. These electives develop students for the 21st century. We will make use of the amazing campus for the benefit of our student and school bodies. It’s full steam ahead!

周校长在讲话中表示，一所新学校的崛起不仅仅靠强大的师资和高端的教育理念，更需要有触碰人心的温暖，积极踏实的真抓实干，以及静下心来让教育回归本质的心态。华美将秉承“根深中华，美绽世界”的教育理念，引进IB教育模式，与中国模式教育相融合，在一年级开始实施全纳教育，即PYP项目，并将在形成示范样板后逐步推向其他年级。周校长将用自己的热情点燃大家的激情，用自己以身示范引领大家前行，做一个走心的老师、走心的校长，与大家共同创建走心的华美。

Principal Zhou said in his speech that the rise of a new school relies on well qualified teachers and excellent education philosophy and needs to be compassionate. It also requires positive and practical work and calm down to let education return to the essence. C&A will adhere to the educational concept of "Rooted in China, blossomed for the world" and introduce IB education model, integrating with the Chinese education mode. We will start to implement inclusive education, namely PYP project in Grade 1 and gradually promote to other grades after the model is formed. Principal zhou will ignite everyone's passion with his own enthusiasm, lead everyone forward with his own example, be a sincere teacher and sincere principal, and create a sincere C&A together with everyone.

Next, the principal declared the decision of the "C&A stars". They are the role models for C&A students. They are diligent and progressive. They have won the victory with their own efforts. They has thus become the shining "C&A stars" of our school.

获得“文学之星”称号的同学有：吴琦（七年级一班）、余远程（七年级一班）、王钧如（六年级一班）、洪若瀚（八年级一班）、胡帅（七年级一班）。由李杨校监和蒋慧副校长为获奖同学颁发证书、奖杯及奖金。

The students who have won the title of "star of literature" are Wu Qi (Class 1, Grade 7), Yu Yuancheng (Class 1, Grade 7), Wang Junru (Class 1, Grade 6), Hong Ruohan (Class 1, Grade 8) and Hu Shuai (Class 1, Grade 7). Chancellor Li Yang and vice principal Jiang Hui presented certificates, trophies and prizes to these students.

Students who have won the title of "reading star" are: Peng kehan (class 1, grade 6), Li hongkun (class 1, grade 3), Xue yueying (class 1, grade 2), Huang yueting (class 1, grade 2), Deng sixu (class 1, grade 6). 开学典礼结束后，家委会代表与校方领导召开了座谈会。家委会成员就学校发展现状，提出了真诚且专业的意见和建议，并表示将在反馈问题的基础上解决问题，真正为学生们谋福利。学校与家委会是并肩作战的战友，新的学期，华美将大力加强家校沟通，加强学生规则意识和纪律意识的培养，为孩子、家长和学校的共同进步创造条件。

After the graduation ceremony, the representatives of the parent committee and the leaders of school has convened a meeting. The parent committee proposed genuine and professional suggestions and opinions based on the current development, and they provided solutions to the problems that has been mentioned in the meeting for the welfare of students. Schools will seek improvement alongside the parent committee in the new semester. C&A will enhance the communication between school and parents. Meanwhile schools will also take greater efforts to cultivate students’ awareness of rules and discipline, in order to create the conditions that can promote the improvement of parents, school and students all together.

最美的春天不在自然界，她蕴藏在人们心中。只要我们胸怀希望，我们就总能与春天相伴。让我们吹响春天的号角，开始新的征程。用辛勤的汗水去浇灌出累累的硕果，用智慧的画笔描绘华美五彩的画卷!

The most beautiful spring doesn’t exist in the nature but in people’s mind.Only do we hold the hope can we be accompanied by spring.Let’s follow the pace of spring and start our new chapter.We will spare no efforts to nourish the students with knowledge and love and paint our new chapter in C&A with the strokes of wisdom.
